9:30 AM - Senior year, Cheering Competition, revisited
Quezon City, Philippines- The Senior dynamites bagged top prizes in this year's Annual Cheer Dance Competition. Still in the spirit of Diliman Prep's foundation week, The Intramurals week was kicked off by a fiery cheering competition, Tuesday Morning. First to perform were the Seniors "SRS" Cheering Squad. They Began with a series of athletic whirls and twirls with accompaniment of electric guitars and drum beats. Pop songs modified to fit the choreography were simultaneously sung. When everybody was sweaty due to the competitive heat, it was noticeable that everybody was just too lazy to cheer. Blue Flags with "S's" on them were waved. After the transition some LKS studs managed to take pictures of themselves actually Jumping and headbanging.
"Nagmumura na nga 'yung iba eh, (nag)take advantage sila kasi 'di naman talaga kami magkarinigan" said one LKS student.
LKS studs seemed too excited that they graced the occasion with splits and capoeira style kicks with John Paul Lizardo sealing it with a series of back flips and cartwheels. Next-in-line came sophomores, everyone was tired.
"Nakahiga na kami, wala na lang kaming pakielam kung anong sabihin nila!". Some they have gone to the Canteen to eat but others they had there own little adventure. Cheer leaders waited for the result. And some didn't know if it came quick or plain blured.
"Nagtanong pa nga 'yung iba kung pinaglalaruan lang 'yung microphone eh." said my photographer. Finally it was anounced and for the sake of those who were e-mailing us, the results are
The colors designated, when seen from afar seemed like an ocean of moving heads. Like the Juniors from the Senior's seat was "like a house tearing apart". The event was sponsored by the P.E. Department. Classes were cancelled (as they always did.) It took a week from the last semester and very well into the month of November to practice the stunts and choreography.

Napangiti si Mia, kahit hindi gaanong masarap ang malabsak na pansit ni Lando, kahit paano naitawid nito ang gutom niya."
